Description
Cynthia's Collectibles A division of Music Box Maker presents the following item for sale         Antique Doll Collection (partial) with Provenance There are 84 photos will take a while for them to load - please be patient because it may take a few minutes. We are only offering these dolls as a collection 1 time with the provenance journal and Kimport catalog.  If we do not receive an acceptable offer for the entire lot, we will sell the dolls  individually without the original provenance material.  So take advantage of this rare opportunity to own this incredible collection and submit your best offer today!     This is a portion of a documented doll collection.  The list in the journal was copied from the original owners list when they acquired the collection in 1957. There are 70 dolls, a ceramic set of Disney's Snow White and the seven dwarfs, and ceramic wedding couple. Most items were originally acquired between 1939 and 1941 according to the journal.  There is a provenance book with Kimport catalog (signed and dated by Betty McKim) and some issues of Doll Talk.   While we inventoried the dolls, some numbers were missing and were reassigned numbers "200" and up for easy identification. We could not positively match them to the description on the journal list. There are a few dolls that were added after the collection was acquired in 1957. All dolls were on display and so many cloth colors are faded, and they also have signs of use.  Small notes about defects appear in the individual item descriptions. We apologize for not providing our normal full disclosure list of defects.  It took several hours just to make the basic list and and cover the most general of the defects for now.  Questions about specific dolls or items included in this auction are welcome. Materials include: celluloid, composition, bisque porcelain, wood, leather, cloth, wire, and other miscellaneous man made and natural materials. Please notice the pictures included as they are more descriptive than  words.       Before you bid, please read the Payment, Shipping, Handling and Insurance terms  and conditions listed at the end of this description carefully.  If you win, please do not make a payment until we send you a final invoice (by email). The shipping calculator provides an estimate of the shipping and handling costs. It may not be the exact amount. The exact amount is calculated when the item is packed for shipping and is based on the exact weight and size.         Visit our other auctions and our eBay store to find many more fine decorative collectibles including music boxes, porcelain figurines, hand crafted studio pottery, glass, crystal, artwork, sculptures, and more. We offer combined shipping of multiple purchase so you can save $$ on the total shipping and handling costs. International Delivery Time:  Most packages will arrive within 10 business days. If a package does not arrive within the normal time period, inquire at your local post office or customs to obtain the status of the package delivery (sometimes customs will be holding it for the collection of  taxes).    If you have any questions, please email me! All the items sold by Music Box Maker on ebay are previously owned and are to be considered used unless otherwise stated in the description. Some of the items I sell may be still in the box and look new, but they have all been purchased by me from auctions, estate sales, or here on ebay. The music boxes offered for sale will have complete descriptions and pictures and are in working condition (unless stated otherwise). Some items have been serviced or repaired or restored.  A Music Box Maker Vintage Custom music box is usually a box (made by others)  that has been modified in a significant manner, for example, an empty vintage wooden box (or most any other combination of materials) which is then transformed into a music box.  It may have a brand new  or a vintage musical movement.    The musical tune can be personalized in most 18 note music boxes by selecting a tune from the in stock song list (an additional charge will apply). Click the About Me icon for more information on my handmade music boxes.
