HARD-TO-FIND 1950 Sleep Eye Vintage 8" Hard Plastic Ginny "Gardener Girl" from Brother/Sister Series - Complete with Box, Darling ~ Very Nice! You are bidding on the Gardener Girl in her Box Only, the boy is being offered in another auction! FREE SHIPPING WITH BUY-IT-NOW!! ~ U.S.A. BIDDERS ONLY click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge We are offering a special 1950 Vogue 8" hard plastic Strung Ginny that is near mint in her original marked box. She is the Gardener Girl from the Brother/Sister Ginny series; also known as "Susie". She is all original & complete including her watering can and tools. Her outfit is clean, never washed & is untagged which is common for many of these early outfits. We guarantee that it is vintage & NOT a repro. Her desirable tri-color eyes need assistance to open and close which is common for these early sleep eyed dolls and acceptable to most. Ginny's high cheek color is original, NO redo's or re-blushing. Vogue was very generous when she came along! She has the light brows and lashes which is very typical of this era doll and familiar to most collectors. She has a very thick head of hair. Her original wig is mohair and is still in the original set tied with the original bows. There are stray hairs and fly aways that is typical of this type of early wig. This doll has only been restrung and poses nicely; no other alterations of any kind. Her outfit is bright, clean, never washed & NO repairs. It is complete with the adorable poke bonnet. As is typical some of the ribbon ties (this is original) in blue turn slightly; this also happens with the red. Her navy blue centersnap shoes, although alittle stiff are still in nice overall shape, original to her, and have secure snaps; they have never been off her feet. She is factory original other than the restringing which needed to be done since her old rubber bands gave way a long time ago. She retains the original rubberband used by Vogue when the wig is applied and we checked and there is NO dried rubber band residue; and can easily be taken off if the new owner desires. She was laying in her box for quite some time waiting to be restrung and now poses nicely. Her box is marked correctly as can be seen in the photo. Ginny is pictured with her brother, Gardener Boy who is offered in another auction; he is not included here. You are bidding on the Gardener Girl "Susie" only!
