Description
You will not find a prettier BEBE JUMEAU.  And she is on the rarest Jumeau body, a carved all wood bebe body!    Look at the photographs—she is stunning, early, and rare!   17” BEBE JUMEAU, Early Closed Mouth Size #7, with perfect signed bisque socket head, beautiful bright blue paperweight eyes with much detail and depth, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cuts, dot accents at the inside corners of the eyes, finely painted deluxe extra-long upper and lower eyelashes, feathered eyebrows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, deluxe antique blonde mohair wig, cork pate, and on a signed Jumeau VERY RARE ALL WOOD BODY with 8-loose-ball-jointing.    Both the head and the body are signed with the “JUMEAU” markings.   In THE JUMEAU BOOK by Francois Theimer, he states, “The body can be considered the rarest Jumeau bebe body.”  (see page 263).  This all wood Jumeau body was similar to the Bru all wood body used on the Bru Bebe Modele.   The doll wears an antique silk dress, accented with lace, patterned silk ribbon, and fine tissue silk lace around the neck and in two small ball-shaped poms at the waist.  The dress is in overall excellent condition, with the exception of slight melting to the silk at the front middle edge of the skirt.  The doll wears an antique underskirt, socks, and antique German shoes.  She also wears a LOVELY silk and lace bonnet.   Condition:  The bisque head is perfect, with no damage or repair (I have lighted it with a bright light, and also black-lighted it).  The body is in overall excellent condition, with the original Jumeau stamp on the back of the torso, with damage to the fingers on both hands and also damage/wear to the toes on the doll’s right foot.  (See photos)   Marks:  “DEPOSE  TETE  JUMEAU BTE S.G.D.G. 7” (red stamp on back of head, and artist checkmarks); “JUMEAU MEDAILLE D’OR PARIS” (incised on back of torso).   Circa:  1886.   * * * * * *  PLEASE EMAIL ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR REQUESTS FOR LARGER-SIZED OR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS VIA EMAIL.  * * * * *  We are a paypal.com verified business/premier member, so buy and pay securely (with credit card payment or bank transfer), with confidence through paypal.com for your convenience and safety!  Payments may also be made by cashier’s check or money order.  Credit card payments through paypal.com.  * * *  Packing, Shipping, and Insurance, via U.S. Mail, Registered, Insured, is a flat $50 rate, within the U.S.A., calculated at actual cost.  International shipping is also available, by International Global Express AirMail (Global EMS, estimated 5-7 day) with online tracking, estimated at $70 (double boxed) plus insurance.  On Oct-22-08 at 20:56:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Added below are additional photos.
